cold turkey, starting monday.

what do i have in store?

i need to be prepared and give it an honest effort this time and would lke to know what kind of withdrawal symptoms may experience.

last few times it lasted less than 24 hours - after dinner was usually the worst time for caving in or when consuming alcohol.

is it true that regular smokers, even when they quit, still fiend for life?

Man I just recently quit about 3 weeks ago. what i did was went and got the patch got really hammered and chain smoked all day. The next day I had no desire to smoke. The day after that I put on the patch and it was easy from then on out. The patch helps with the cravings the rest is mental. But Man if you were able to do the master cleanse for 11 days this shouldnt be that hard for you. Btw im on day 7 right now of the cleanse. U weren't kidding when you said this would be interesting. All kinds of weird shit has happened. Old injuries coming back and getting healed etc. thanks again for turning me onto the cleanse...and good luck with quitting like I said if you made it past the cravings for food on the first two days you can beat cigarettes just avoid alcohol for awhile and you'll be fine....

Man - I smoked for 16 years and was up to 2 packs a days. Quit in the mist of moving my family and 10 days until Christmas and all the holiday hubalu.

All family was like wait till new years, wait till after move, yada yada.

But i just gave it up 2 years and 3 months ago. Never to go back.

It was lousy for a while but I felt like shit and had to do it. Take it a day at a time and the gum helped. After about three months though you really will stop think about it or craving it.

My mom quit after christmass using Chantix or something like that, pretty good stuff.... That thing blocks the part of your brain that request the need of nicotine, REALLY works......

Me on the other hand 12 years and counting:smoking: :ohno:

I smoked off/on-never consistently and mostly when drinking from age 16-21.
I got bronchitis one Christmas-and could barely breathe.......ADIOS smoking.

Switched to Copenhagen for a couple years..
Decided to quit for a while.
Decided to start again...and then I just recently quit a month ago for good.

Human beings have the ability to have self-control.
You can definately quit smoking if you really want to..you have to really want to.
